Abstract. The study determined the effect of different dosages of the feed additive VitAmMin in the diets of young geese on the chemical composition and nutritional value of their muscle tissue. The work was performed under conditions of the Kurgan region on crosses of Shadrinskaya and Italian White breeds. The birds from the first experimental group in addition to the main diet were fed with the additive VitAmMin at a dose of 0.2 mL/L of water; the birds from the second experimental group were fed 0.5 mL/L of water. The birds from the control group received the main diet without additives. The gross gain in live weight of goslings in the control group was less than in the first experimental group by 2.49%; in the second experimental group it was less by 3.75%; the gutted carcass yield was 1.00% and 1.34% lower; the mass of edible parts in the carcass was 4.37% and 7.07% lower; the mass of muscle tissue was 6.15% and 8.38% lower, respectively. The amount of fat in the meat of goslings from the experimental groups exceeded the value of this indicator in the control group by 0.12–0.32%; the protein content exceeded it by 0.38–0.73%; energy nutritional value exceeded it by 2.20–4.72%, the ratio of tryptophan to hydroxyproline exceeded it by 0.73–1.82%; the amount of pantothenic acid (vitamin B3) exceeded it by 15.48–23.53%. The total content of fatty acids in the muscles of goslings in the control group was less than in the first experimental group by 6.12%, in the second experimental group it was less by 9.34%; the total content of saturated acids was less by 1.83–4.32%; the total content of unsaturated acids was less by 7.70%–11.19%. In general, the best results were observed in young geese, the diet of which included the vitamin additive VitAmMin at the dose of 0.5 mL/L of water.
