Abstract. The study aimed to compare and assess honeysuckle varieties under conditions of the Cis-Ural forest-steppe zone of the Republic of Bashkortostan to identify the most promising genotypes. In 2017–2020, we studied 12 introduced honeysuckle (Lonicera caerulea L.) varieties. All of them were adapted to the conditions of the Cis-Ural forest-steppe zone of Bashkortostan. Secondary flowering causing slight freezing was observed in varieties Goluboe Vereteno, Bakcharskaya, and Berel. In terms of early maturity, the highest overall condition score of 4.8 points was given to Galochka variety. The medium term of fruiting onset (5–6 years after planting) was registered for varieties Berel, Bakcharskaya, Chelyabinka, Zolushka, Lenita, Nimfa, Dlinnoplodnaya, Sodruzhestvo, and Pamyati Gidzyuka. Varieties Galochka and Chernichka were characterized by relatively stable fruiting and large fruits with a weight of one fruit varying from 1.04 g to 0.96 g. The highest productivity (from 1.5 kg/bush to 5.4 kg/bush) was noted in varieties Nimfa, Chernichka, and Galochka. High fruiting stability was noted in varieties Zolushka, Nimfa, Bakcharskaya, and Berel (Sf = 0.96, 0.97, 0.92, and 0.91, respectively). Varieties Berel and Dlinnoplodnaya were characterized by high palatability; Berel variety was characterized by low shedding. A comprehensive assessment of economically valuable traits made it possible to identify honeysuckle varieties the most promising under conditions of the Cis-Ural forest-steppe zone of the Republic of Bashkortostan. They were Chernichka and Galochka varieties characterized by high productivity, large fruits, and low berry shedding; Berel variety was characterized by a very low berry shedding, medium fruiting onset term, and excellent taste; Dlinnoplodnaya variety was characterized by high palatability and low berry shedding.
