Abstract. The study aimed to assess Protect Forte, WSC against seed infection of the anthracnose pathogen (Colletotrichum lupini Bon.) and other diseases of white lupine, to identify its optimal rates, and to determine their effect on seed germination, plant growth, and crop yield. The work was performed in 2018–2020 in the Bryansk region. The object of the study was seeds, seedlings, and crops of the white lupine Michurinsky. The biological effectiveness of Protect Forte, WSC (flutriafol 40 g/L + fludioxonil 30 g/L) was evaluated under laboratory conditions by the number of affected seedlings and compared with the control without treatment. The rates were 1.0 L/t, 1.25 L/t, and 1.5 L/t. High biological efficiency (99.4%) against anthracnose was noted at the rate of 1.25 L/t. In this case, seed germination increased by 2.0% and significantly (LSD05 = 0.69) increased seedling root length – by 10.3 mm. The field experiment with the rate identified in the laboratory experiment was conducted four times. The seeding rate of lupine was 1 million viable seeds per hectare. The soil of the plot was grey forest; the humus content was 2.4–2.7%. The seeds were dressed one month before sowing. The biological effectiveness of the preparation against anthracnose seed infection averaged 98.2%. By the stage of the shiny bean, the share of affected beans in the experiment was 12% versus 67% in the control. At the same time, the spread of Rhizoctonia and Fusarium decreased 2.6 and 2.8 times, respectively; the damage of beans by white and grey rot decreased by 1.9% and 1.2%, respectively. Seed germination significantly increased by 6.9% (LSD05 = 0.57); the plant mortality rate before harvesting decreased by 45.7%. The increase in seed yield was 1.59 t/ha with LSD05 = 0.05; cost recovery was 12.72 rubles/rubles.
