Abstract. he research aimed to study the variability of genetic and physiological systems (HPS) contributions (microdistributions of plastic substances, attraction, adaptability) to the traits of oat productivity and their role in the creation of new highly productive varieties. The work was carried out in 2019–2021 under the conditions of the Sverdlovsk region. 16 varieties of spring oats were analysed. We used the principle of orthogonal identification of positive contributions to the yield of each of the three genetic-physiological systems, derived from the theory of ecological-genetic organization of quantitative traits. We studied such traits as stem weight, panicle weight, grain weight and chaff from the panicle, on the values of which the rank of the variety depends. The best results in panicle productivity were shown by varieties Uralets (1.81 g), KSS15-132 (1.75 g) and KSS11-135 (1.74 g), which received rank 1-3, respectively. According to the mass of the stem, the Ural 2 variety was assigned to the first rank, followed by Atlet and Konkur. On average, according to five quantitative traits, the highest ranks (3.8-4.2) were observed in varieties KSS11-135, Uralets, KSS15-132; the lowest (11.2-12.8) – in Sprint 2, KSS14-28, KSS14-61. Based on the analysis of orthogonal regression graphs, a good combination of HPS attraction and adaptability is demonstrated by Uralets, KSS15-132 in 2019 and 2020 and Pamyati Balavina, Pokrov 2, KSS11-135 in 2021. Over the years of research, the Ural 2 variety demonstrated its stable high qualities in terms of adaptability and attraction and retained its position in the fourth group of orthogonal regression graphs. Variety Blitz was characterised by stable positive shifts in the HPS of microdistributions of plastic substances over three years of testing.
