The contribution of the Kursk Federal Agrarian Research Centre to the development of domestic digital design of adaptive landscape agriculture

Abstract. Abstract. The article provides an analysis of state policy in the direction of digital transformation of Russian agro-industrial complex, substantiates the need for scientific research that contributes to the digitalization and automation of production processes in domestic agriculture, shows the results of research conducted by the team of the Kursk Federal Agrarian Research Centre in this area in order to most effectively use agricultural land when optimising the material and technical costs of agricultural producers. During more than 15 years, in order to increase the productivity and resource saving of agricultural technologies used in domestic crop production, a phased development of a software package aimed at the digitalization of adaptive landscape agriculture has been carried out. It also includes a system of scientifically based selection of highly productive, high-quality and environmentally friendly technologies for cultivating the main agricultural crops in the agricultural landscapes of the European part of the Russian Federation on the basis of a integral agroecological assessment of arable lands, aimed at optimizing the use of ameliorants, macro- and microfertilizers, taking into account the predicted agro-climatic conditions, topography and soil quality using GIS technologies, as well as design technologies for anti-erosion complexes, taking into account modern trends and knowledge in the field of water erosion control. As a result of the research, 13 computer programmes have been developed, tested and registered, which have already been introduced into agricultural practice and have repeatedly received awards, including at the Russian agro-industrial exhibition "Golden Autumn". The practical application of the available results allows expert and research organizations to design anti-erosion complexes of agrarian landscapes, conduct agroecological assessment of arable land, use regulatory databases, as well as mathematical models and algorithms for other soil and climatic conditions of the Russian Federation. For agricultural enterprises specialists it allows to carry out scientific and reasonable and economically viable selection of highly productive, high-quality and environmentally friendly technologies for the cultivation of major agricultural crops and, thereby, contribute to increasing the profitability of agricultural production, ensuring the environmental orientation of the territories used, taking into account the requirements of import substitution and preliminary calculation of the economic efficiency of agricultural technologies.
