Abstract. The research was carried out to study the effect of feeding silage from non-traditional fodder crops harvested according to a new technology using modern microbiological probiotic starter cultures on changes in the morphobiochemical parameters of the blood of replacement heifers. The experiments were performed in 2020-2021 under the conditions of the Republic of Bashkortostan on 3 groups of replacement heifers of Holsteinized Black-and-White breed of American selection at the age of 7-9 months, 10 animals each, matched by the method of pairs-analogues. Animals of the control group received 7 kg of silage of alfalfa and awnless brome mixture as part of the main diet (MD), group I – MD with the replacement of silage with a similar amount of the same feed from a mixture of fodder galega and awnless brome; Group II – MD + 8 kg of silage from a mixture of fodder galega and awnless brome with a decrease in the amount of concentrated feed by 0.2 kg/animal/day. The duration of the experiment was 90 days. When harvesting silage for the experimental groups, the preservative "Biolax-U" (TS 10.89.13-001-38492483-2019) was used, for the control group – "Biosib". With the introduction of 7 and 8 kg of silage from a fodder galega and awnless brome mixture into the diet of replacement heifers in winter, instead of feed from a mixture of alfalfa and awnless brome, an increase in metabolic processes in the body was observed. In the blood of animals of the experimental groups, there was an increase in the concentration of haemoglobin, compared with the control, by 0.93 and 1.87%, respectively, erythrocytes – by 6.40 and 8.51%, leukocytes – by 6.25 and 12.50%, total protein – by 12.82 and 15.39%, lipids – by 2.50 and 4.47%; phosphorus – by 7.75 and 11.27%, calcium – by 0.41 and 0.45 mol/l, as well as a decrease in the content of urea in the blood by 11.44 and 14.40%.
