Abstract. Studies were carried out to determine the effective concentration of zeolite used as an additive in the diet of quails of the Phoenix cross. For the experiment, 4 groups of day-old birds were formed. During the study period, they had free access to food and water. The difference in feeding consisted in the replacement in the diets of birds of I, II, III experimental groups, respectively, 10, 30 and 50 g of feed for zeolite. The duration of the experiment was 42 days. The highest safety of the livestock was observed in the II experimental group (98%), the lowest – in the control group (92%). The average live weight of birds for 42 days in the II experimental group increased from 10.0 to 289.6 g, the smallest increase was observed in the control group (up to 262.4 g). The content of leukocytes in the blood serum of quails of the control group was the highest throughout the entire period of the study, at the age of six weeks it was 28.8×109/dm3, against 28.7×109/dm3 in the experimental groups. The largest increase in the number of erythrocytes, relative to the beginning of the experiment, was observed in the II experimental group (from 2.70 × 1012dm3 at the age of one day to 3.39 × 1012dm3 at the age of six weeks), the smallest – in the control group (3.05 × 1012dm3 at 42 days). The content of hemoglobin for six weeks in the II experimental group increased, relative to the daily age, by 1.2 times (95.2-116.9 g / dm3). The lowest concentration of hemoglobin on the 42nd day was observed in the control (113.2 g/dm3). Biochemical parameters of blood throughout the experiment were within the normal range. The content of total protein was the highest in the second experimental group (47.9 g/dm3), the lowest in the control group (45.1 g/dm3). The effective concentration of synthetic zeolite such as NaX when feeding quails should be considered 3%.
