COMPUTER PROGRAM FOR THE INTEGRATED BREEDING ASSESSMENT OF AGRICULTURAL CROPS

Summary. The purpose of the research is to optimize the selection process when creating varieties possessing the required combination of economically important features. The study examined the possibility of using a scalar ranking for multi-criteria decision problems to select the best samples of plants in crop breeding. The method of replacing of the original absolute values by the relative ranking point values was suggested. The resulted index of breeding values is calculated as additive convolution of multidimentional information. It use the expert weight coefficients that reflect the relative importance of the respective attributes. The research resulted in the computer program that allows you to calculate the index of breeding values of the studied samples of crops and to rank them. Testing program was conducted on the experimental data of the structural analysis of hybrids F1-F2 spring triticale derived from field experience in 2010. These hybrids were obtained as a result of crossing between four spring triticale varietes (К-3722, К-3542, К-3644, К-3881) according to a complete diallel scheme. The testing revealed the samples with the highest breeding value index and they were selected for further breeding.
