Summary. With vigorous development of animal husbandry, the use of antibiotics is especially important. Drugs on the basis of tylosin tartrate are very popular in Russian market. Tylosin tartrate – is a broad spectrum antibiotic, however, it has side effects and contraindications. Therefore we need control of its authenticity and quantification. To determine tylosin tartrate microbiological method and physico-chemical methods of analysis are using: Planar chromatography (modern TLC), high performance liquid chromatography and capillary electrophoresis. Alternatively to these methods electrochemical methods may be performed. Voltammetry method (VA) – one of the modern electrochemical analysis of drug that combines the high information capacity with ease of process of signal measurement at a low cost of the equipment. The resulting voltage-current characteristic is used for identifying a substance and to determine its concentration. Namely, the position of the analytical signal (E) gives a qualitative characteristic, and its height – quantitative. The aim was to develop a method of measuring the VA-tylosin tartrate and development of a methodology of determination in medicinal drugs used in veterinary medicine. During the study of model solutions the working conditions of obtaining the analytical signal of tylosin tartrate at mercury film electrode are determined: the potential electrolysis minus (0,45 ± 0,05) V, supporting electrolyte, 0,1 mole/dm3 C6H8O7 2NH3. Antibiotic concentration was determined by addition of certified mixtures of additives and measuring of peak hight in a potential range of minus (0,75 ± 0,05) V. Based on the research for the first time proposed methodology of voltammetric determination tylosin tartrate in aqueous solutions of drugs used in veterinary medicine in contents ranging from 10 to 950 mg/g (σr is less than 16%). The method is simple to perform, inexpensive and can be used for the detection of adultterated drugs containing tylosin tartrate.
