Summary. Based on the analysis of overall agrochemical survey and local monitoring the provision of arable soils in Belgorod region by mobile forms of zinc was estimated. The total content and concentration of mobile forms of this element in the profile of leached and typical chernozems were studied. Background levels of zinc in crops were determined and biological absorption factor for this metal was calculated. Total zinc content is determined by characteristics of parent rock material. In arable layer of leached chernozem (37.1 mg/kg) it is lower than in typical chernozem (54.3 mg/kg). The total content of this element tends to decrease with soil profile depth increase. The vast majority of arable soils (99.8 %) are low provided by its mobile forms. Therefore, it is reasonable to apply zinc micronutrients on such soils. Zinc is high accumulated element because its BAF varied from 4.0 to 42.0. The main accumulation of this element is in the reproductive organs due to its physiological role as an activator of vital enzymes.

Keywords: clarke, microelements, mobile forms of zinc, zinc, chernozem.
