Summary. Analysis of the productive structures, scientific literature and existing measures of state support of beef cattle leads to the conclusion that one of the mechanisms responsible for the efficiency of beef cattle is the market that covers the organizational and economic forms of relationships between entities of different spheres of meat subcomplex propelling products at all stages of the reproduction process – from raw material to finished products production and sales to the ultimate consumer. In recent years, the development of specialized beef cattle, there are positive changes, which indicates the correctness of the policy of the Government of the Russian Federation, selected in this matter. In the long term, such support should be continued in the following areas: financing for the purchase of new machinery and equipment; compensation costs for energy; grants to support livestock breeding; stimulate scientific research and training; lending costs for seasonal working capital and acquisition of other necessary supplies; advancing pledge of agricultural products, leasing operations; favorable credit conditions and taxation; protection of the interests of domestic producers in connection with the entry into the WTO and others. important area of growth efficiency of the industry – the development of scientific achievements. The main internal mechanism of development of the industry should be measures to promote various forms of mutually beneficial cooperation – the creation of industrial and consumer cooperatives and integration – traditional contracts for the supply of cattle; forehand controlling stakes further by their emissions through a variety of sources; establishment of agro-financial groups, with the active state regulation of these processes.
