Summary. The object of research is the pea (Pisum sativum L.). The geographical position of Narymsky department of Siberian Scientific Research Institute of Agriculture and Peat makes very tough climatic conditions, so in the result of natural selection at the early stages in the elaboration of breeding samples with high potential for ontogenetic adaptation include. The results of the study of 18 accessions of three maturity groups: early-maturing, middle-and medium-late. As the standard variety Narymsky 11 was used. Observations were carried out in 2006-2010 in the competitive variety trials. Usual and leafless pea samples considered separately. Reducing the length of the growing season, while maintaining a sufficiently high productivity is one of the most important problems of selection of peas in the taiga zone. For the duration of the period of germination – flowering in our conditions there is no clear relationship between the early flowering and early ripening. Period of efflorescence – maturation in all sorts changes more than the period of germination – flowering. Along with the samples with stable short growing season in some years middle-samples can reduce a vegetation. Samples 12/94, 69/01, 14/94, 15/94 and the variety Narymsky 11, with a weak response to changing weather conditions, since the flowering phase, are of interest in the selection for earliness.
Keywords: pea, breeding samples, vegetation period, the limiting factor, taiga zone.
