Summary. The article presents the results of the research carried out in 2013-2014 on the southeast of Voronezh region on the study of the influence of seeding time on productivity and sowing quality of soft spring wheat seeds of a new variety Chernozemnouralskaya 2 released in Central Black Earth region. The experimental design included the following variants: the first (early) time was after soil workability reaching and soil warming up to 5 deg at the depth of 10 cm; the two other variants were in 5 and 10 days. The early time of sowing was the optimal one. In this case due to full maturity wheat forms seeds with high sowing qualities mainly because of increase in the number of productive plants, which are preserved till the harvesting, and grain weight. With the delay with the sowing on 5 days the variety reduced seed productivity depending on weather conditions in 2013 by 1.1 cwt/ha, in 2014 – by 3.8 cwt/ha, or by 5.2 and 11.1 %, correspondingly. In the variant with 10-days delay the yield decreased by 0.6 and 4.1 cwt/ha or 2.8 and 11.9 %. The thousand-seed weight on the average of 2 years of the investigation decreased with late seeding in comparison with the early one by 1.0 and 2.7 g; the output of high quality seeds – by 2.6 and 7.2 %; the seed uniformity – by 2.8 and 4.9 %; laboratory energy of germination – by 2.0 and 7.0 %; laboratory germination – by 1.2 and 2.7 %..

Keywords: spring soft wheat, seeding time, yield, thousand-seed weight, uniformity, output of high quality seeds, energy of germination, germination capacity.
