Summary. Macrodox-200 is a complex chemotherapeutical preparation, one gramme of which contains tylosin, doxycycline (100 mg) and vehicles (tartaric acid, Trilon B, sodium benzoate, glucose). It is soluble in water. Experiments on Macrodox-200 held for the first time by request of the producer OOO "Belfarmakom" (Belgorod). The purpose of the research was to study the effect of Macrodox-200 on the organism of chickens ill with colibacteriosis in comparison with Kolmik-E in order to determine the possibility of its use as a chemotherapeutical agent. The experiments were carried out in a physiological complex of Belgorod State Agricultural Academy on 200 broiler chickens 23-day-old of cross Hubbard F-15, divided into two equal-sized groups. The experimental group received Macrodox at 0.1 g/kg of body weight with drinking water, the control one - 1ml/l. The duration of the experiment was 42 days. Macrodox contributed to the full survival of poultry and recovery of all infected chickens. The average body weight of chicken in the group receiving Macrodox was more at 23 g by the end of growing. The protein content in the blood serum of the chickens from the experimental group was up to 20 % higher than in the untreated patient; at that the share of globulins was less by 22.3 %. Simultaneously the activity of AST was lower by 21.38 % and the activity of ALT was twice as large. Productivity index was higher at 7.1 % than in the control. Macrodox -200 at a dose of 0.1 g/kg of body weight did not cause any toxic effects and it can be used for growing broiler chickens by mixing in drinking water.
