Summary. The aim of the work was to reveal the reserves for an increase in the productivity of grain of winter wheat. The investigations were carried out in 2008-2012 on the fields at Yashkino variety test plot, located in forest-steppe zone of Kuznetsk basin of Kemerovo region. Soils of the test plot are light-grey forest soils, humus content is 1.6…3.4 %, content of mobile phosphorus and potassium is 6 and 10 mg/100g. To achieve the purpose we used estimations of the indices of productivity, homeostasis, stress tolerance and genetic flexibility of varieties. The objects of the study were six promising varieties of rye from different groups of ripeness: Chulpan 7, Sibirskaya 87, Petrovna, Parom, Sinilga, Irina. On the average during the five-year period the productivity of late-ripening varieties ranged from 16.9 cwt/ha to 56.1 cwt/ha (V = 69.8 %), of middle-late ones - from 18.1 to 49.2 cwt/ha (V = 63.2 %). In the years of investigations the genotypic response of middle-late varieties to the changing hydrothermal conditions was about the same (synchronous) from 18.5 % (2012) to 12.3 % (2011). In late-ripening varieties the productivity ranged from 16.9 to 33.5 cwt/ha (2012), with a coefficient of variation 49.6 % and from 46.1 to 56.1 cwt/ha (V = 17.8 %) in 2011. The highest average yield in 2008-2012 among tested varieties from middle-late group was in variety Irina (35.6 cwt/ha), from late-ripening group – Chulpan 7 (40.4 cwt/ha). At that the latter was the most flexible and stable among late-ripening varieties (Hom = 7.8; У2-У1= -22.6); among middle-late group in these indices variety Petrovna distinguished (Hom = 7.4; У2-У1= -20.9). Winter rye varieties Chulpan 7 and Petrovna can be recommended to the cultivation in forest-steppe zone, including districts of the northern part of Kemerovo region.
Keywords: variety, winter rye, productivity, stability, homeostasis, stress tolerance, genetic flexibility.
