Summary. The study was directed to examine the influence of line characteristic of heifers and full-grown cows on their milk productivity and reproductive qualities, as well as to determine the correlation between main economical traits. Heifers of the line Montvik Chifteina 95679 had higher milk productivity, which was higher on the average by 7.5 % then for cows of lines Vis Back Ajdiala 1013415 and Reflection Soveringa 198998. Milk yields of full-grown animals of the line Vis Back Ajdiala 1013415 increase on 4.2 % with aging, for lines Reflection Soveringa 198998 and Montvik Chifteina 95679 this increase is equal 0.8 % and 6.5 %, correspondingly. The cows of the line Reflection Soveringa 198998 differed by the lowest milk yields. The shortest service period, 101.2 day, was observed for heifers of the line Vis Back Ajdiala 1013415, that was lower than for line Reflection Soveringa 198998 by 19.8 % and for line Montvik Chifteina 95679 – by 18.1 %. One of the factors reducing the reproductive function of heifers is high milk productivity. With aging of the cows the duration of the service period reduced in animals of the line Vis Back Ajdiala by 2.6 %, Reflection Soveringa – by 2.7 % and Montvik Chifteina – by 1.3 %. Differences in economic traits, high variability and correlations between groups indicate possible ways of further improvement of the herd.
Keywords: line, milk productivity, reproductive quality, service period, correlation.
