Summary. The long-term benefits of breeding of grain pea for resistance to dehiscence of beans were proved. Due to including of donors of the sign in the breeding program new genotypes were derived with fibreless beans. Under contrasting meteorological conditions (2012-2014) the high influence of genotype (43.9 %) on yield formation was established. The presence of stable genotypes in the studied group is indicated by the value of their variance (mS = 6.808) compared with the indices of the interaction «genotype-environment» (mS = 2.302). The average productivity of the most new selected forms (2.81…3.23 t/ha, LSD05 = 0.35 t/ha) significantly exceeds this value of the standard variety Kazanets (2.49 t/ha). Varieties Fregat and Kaban, passed to the state variety test, were selected according to the specific adaptive capacity, relative stability and breeding values. These genotypes are valuable for use in breeding for stability.
