Summary. The processing of main waste of beer production is an important task to prevent environmental pollution. These investigations were devoted to the development of methods of their effective recovery for an increase in the profitability not only of beer production, but also of agricultural enterprises under conditions of deficiency of expensive mineral and organic fertilizers in the suburban zone of Kaluga; preservation of environmental quality, reduction of environmental risks in the region. We studied the possibility of utilization of dehydrated residues of beer production (DRBP) as fertilizer for crops. Studies were carried out on sod-podzol medium loamy and sabulous soils in 2012-2014. In the experiment we studied different doses of DRBP pre-sowing application: 5, 10, 15 and 20 t/ha. DRBP positively affected the size and structure of yield, as well as technological properties of three main crops: cultivated oat, edible pea and potatoes. The optimal dose of DRBP is 20 t/ha, it increases the weight of potato tubers, weight of grains and grain-unit of oat, number of beans and the number of seeds/bean of pea plants (from 14 to 56 %). The strongest response to the application of DRBP obtained for potato. Studies experimentally proved the possibility of environmentally safe use of residues of beer production as organic fertilizer-ameliorant on sod-podzol medium loamy and sabulous soils of Kaluga region.

Keywords: dehydrated remains of beer production (DRBP), fertilizer, doses of application, soil, crops.
