FOR IMPROVEMENT OF THEORETICAL BASIS OF THE FORMATION OF ECOLOGICALLY BALANCED AGRICULTURAL LANDSCAPES

Summary. On the basis of the ecosystem approach, the authors’ own research and analysis of scientific literature we developed theoretical problems of the evaluation of resource potential, environmental capacity, sustainability of agricultural landscapes, regulation of anthropogenic load to form ecologically balanced agricultural landscapes. The definition of the resource potential of an agricultural landscape was improved. The structure and indicators of its evaluation are presented. The indices that are closely related to environmental capacity, the sustainability of agricultural landscapes and regulation of anthropogenic load are discussed. The system of evaluation of the sustainability of the agricultural landscape, consisting of three subsystems: evaluation of the total sustainability, evaluation of soil stability as an organizing component of an agricultural landscape, evaluation of agronomic (production) sustainability is suggested. The concept of agronomic (production) sustainability of an agricultural landscape is improved. The conditions of the correspondence of the indices of soil quality, the degree of its degradation, the production sustainability of an agricultural landscape to its environmental capacity are determined. The criteria of tolerable anthropogenic load (agrotechnologies) on an agricultural landscape and its production sustainability are developed. A complex of indicators for regulation of anthropogenic load in agricultural landscapes is suggested. Four gradation levels of accordance of technological loading to environmental capacity of an agricultural landscape were detailed. These levels were determined by the criteria of tolerable anthropogenic load and indices of the production sustainability of an agricultural landscape. Four gradations of regulation of anthropogenic load (favorable, tolerable, partly tolerable and intolerable) are also singled out. The scales of the evaluation of soil resources and regulation of anthropogenic load in agricultural landscapes are developed and presented.
