Summary. Today the issues of the increase in the economical efficacy of production of commercial fish in the region are still insufficiently studied. In Novosibirsk region it is not only the river, but the lake and pond potential. The volume of commercial fish production over the period of 2011-2013 increased 3.5 times. It reflects the intensification of industrial and commercial activities in the field of aquaculture and the increase in the investment attractiveness of the industry at the regional level. One of the tools to stimulate the development of commercial fish production in the region was a target program «State support of development of commercial fish breeding in Novosibirsk region in 2011-2013», the proportion of participants in which from the total number of fish farms increased over the study period from 22 to 43%, with an overall increase in business number almost 2 times. The main problem hindering the development of the production of marketable fish in the region is insufficient number of intraregional sources of provision of fish stocking material. This is the reason for the high transportation costs of stocking material (up to 60 rub/kg) and, accordingly, its significant proportion (up to 40 %) in the cost of the final product. This reduces the economic availability of fish as an additional protein source for the population. It is proposed the co-operation of piscicultural farms of Novosibirsk region with local fish hatcheries. As an example, the activities of OOO «Zerkalnoe», Moshkovsky district, and IP Sevasteev S.V., Ordynsky district, were studied. As a result of the proposed cooperation in the planning period of the actual capacity utilization of the fish hatchery will increase from 1.9 to 3.0 m pcs, while the cost of one-year carp will reduce by 5 rub/kg.
