Summary. In recent years, there is a growing interest in the livestock industry in rabbit-breeding as a source of dietetic meat. Due to the rapid race of reproduction (high productivity, growth rate of young animals, 5-7 litters in a year per a doe-rabbit, etc.) and due to the short-term profit opportunities, the industry is attractive for business development. In recent years the breeding rabbit stocks are imported from abroad and there is a need to improve the productive qualities of rabbits of domestic breeds. The goal of our research was to study the possibility of using molecular genetic techniques in breeding work with rabbits by identifying loci that mark characteristics used in breeding (the live weight gain intensity, belonging to a particular breed, litter size). The paper describes the allele pool data of rabbit breeds Soviet Chinchilla and White Giant and their hybrids, obtained by ISSR-PCR method; amplicons spectra by using two oligonucleotides: (AG)9C and (GA)9C are characterizes. Loci were identified, the recessive alleles of which may be markers for the Soviet Chinchilla and the White giant breeds. For the former this is the allele with the length of 495 bp in the amplicon spectrum of the primer (AG)9C, and the allele with the length of 1870 and 455 bp in fingerprint of the primer (GA)9C. For the latter this is the allele with the length 355 bp from the spectrum of amplicons of the oligonucleotide (AG)9C. There were identified two loci from the spectrum of the amplicons of the primer (AG)9C, the incidence of which is different for the groups of animals from different litters: the alleles with the lengths of 680 and 355 bp. Dominant allele locus length 355 bp was not detected in animals from small litters (6 kits and less), which can be used as a marker for this trait.
