Summary. In 2011-2013 under conditions of forest-steppe of Kuznetsk Depression the researches were carried out to determine the optimal sowing time of winter wheat Novosibirskaya 40. The soil is leached, heavy loamy, middle thick chernozem. The content of humus is 8.0%, the reaction of soil solution is close to the neutral one (pH = 6.0). The content of N-NO3 is 46.5 mg/kg, of P2O5 – 105 mg/kg, of K2O – 108 mg/kg. The sowing was carried out on five dates: August 25, September 5, September 15, September 25 and October 5 with seeding rate of 8.0m germinating seeds per a hectare. The control was the variant with recommended by originator seeding time – September 5. According to moisture provision the years of the investigation were contrast (from severe drought to overwetting). The optimal conditions for the formation of yield of winter wheat variety Novosibirskaya 40 was noted at the sowing in the third decade of August (on August 25-27). In the years with insufficient moistening (hydrothermic coefficient is 0.22-0.26 in the period of stem elongation and grain formation) it reaches 1.8t/ha, with the optimal moisture supply (hydrothermic coefficient is 0.9-2.3) – 3.2 t/ha. Considerable influence of survival of plants on productivity of winter wheat was revealed, r = 0.8602-0.9493. The influence of growth conditions on the productivity of Novosibirskaya 40 winter wheat variety in the years of investigation (2011-2013) was 93.5%.
Keywords: variety, winter wheat, productivity, sowing time.
