Summary. The article presents the concept of foundation of Siberian federal agro-biotechnology research center, the main directions of investigations. The realization of the following priority research projects is planned: the development of new high-productive plant varieties with improved economic characteristics, which are adapted to the natural and climatic conditions of Siberia, with the use of modern breeding methods, including biotechnology; the development of agriculture systems and management technologies for agrocoenosis productivity, including elements of precision farming and phytosanitary safety; the development of methods and systems of the creation of genotypes of agricultural animals and aquaculture with high consumer characteristics on the basis of methods of molecular biology, control of the biosynthesis of animal husbandry production, improvement of technologies of feeding, forage production, animal keeping and means of the mechanization of production, effective control of epizootic processes, creation of diagnostic test-systems on the basis of molecular biology and nanobiology methods, as well as means and methods of prophylaxis and treatment of animal diseases; the development of technologies of geo-information modeling of the current state and dynamics of changes of agricultural lands, including swamped territories, on the basis of data of geo-monitoring for evaluation and effective use of its potential; the development of new machine technologies and technical means for complex mechanization, technical service and power supply of agriculture industry, creation of means of automation, management of quality control of the work of agricultural aggregates, measurement means and information systems on the basis of investigation of physical processes of the life cycle of agricultural objects; The development of biotechnological processes for transformation of the raw material of animal and plant origin and secondary raw resources, biologically active complexes with directed designation and high conversion fodders for animals; the development of mechanisms, methods and models for the acceleration of the social and economic development of the agro-industrial complex of Siberia, forecast of scientific and technology development and regulatory structure of agriculture production; ecological and economic substantiation and formation of the list of the best available technologies in farming, crop production, fodder production, animal husbandry, veterinary science, mechanization and processing of agriculture products for the extreme natural conditions of Siberia.
