THE MAIN DIRECTIONS OF SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC RESEARCH IN THE AGRICULTURAL SECTOR OF SIBERIA: THE PRESENT AND THE FUTURE

Summary. Based on the results of studies carried out, the conclusion was drawn about the discrepancy of the resource potential of the agricultural sector in Siberia and the results of its use. Siberian Federal District (SFD) is the largest food manufacturer in the east of the Russian Federation. Agriculture of SFD, giving nearly 5.2% of GRP, has only 2.5% of the investment and the share in the total financial result of the economy is equal to 2.6%. In 2014, the index of physical volume of investments in the fixed capital in agriculture decreased in comparison with its level in 2013. This had a negative impact on the implementation of the modernization of agricultural production plans. The growth of nonequivalence in the exchange of commodities of agriculture with other sectors of the economy remains. There is a problem of selling of finished products due to the low demand of the population and remoteness from markets, etc. Thus, the state of the agricultural sector in Siberia economy requires a rethinking of fundamental and practical bases of formation of a stable, efficient and competitive production. A comprehensive approach to the organization of researches of the Siberian Research Institute of Agriculture Economic covers the entire chain of the reproduction process in accordance with the rate of innovation on the update of the agricultural sector, taking into account the huge variety of climatic and soil conditions, the level of bioclimatic potential, features of economic development of rural areas of Siberia. The researches are aimed at developing of a new economic model of for functioning of the agro-industrial complex of the region and actualized agrarian politics. This will enable to ensure the increase in profitability of agriculture for technical and technological modernization, competitiveness of domestic food and agricultural raw materials in the domestic and foreign markets, to achieve sustainable food security and food sovereignty in the region, including areas of the North and the Arctic Siberia. The introduction of scientific developments in agricultural production will increase the efficiency of agricultural production by 30-40%, increase the level of competitiveness of agricultural enterprises, and access to the international food market; improve the social and economic condition of the rural settlements.
