ZONAL ADAPTIVE TECHNOLOGIES FOR PRODUCTION OF SEEDS OF FIBRE FLAX

Summary. The results of scientific research on the development of improved technology for production of fibre flax seeds are described. Their application, taking into account soil and climatic conditions of flax cultivation areas and the biological characteristics of varieties, are considered. The developed system allows to increase the volume of seed production more than 2 times, and speed up the sort renovation. The sowing of green manure crops in the fallow field of flax crop rotation is one of the most effective methods in agriculture. This method increases productivity of flax seeds by 19%, fiber – by 13%. In all flax-sowing regions it is recommended to use white mustard, and also clover and spring rape in the Northwest region. It is proposed an effective fertilizer system in flax crop rotation, which includes the annual average application of NPK in the amount of 200 kg of active substances per one hectare of arable land. It provides the productivity of flax seeds at 800 kg/ha, and fiber – at 1.95 t/ha. It is also proposed a local application of mineral fertilizers under flax simultaneously with sowing (50 kg/ha). In the Northwest region the combine harvesting of seed crops is the most appropriate, its duration should not exceed 10-12 days. In other regions two-phase harvesting is possible on 20-30% of the area, which enhances the germination of seeds by 4-5% and reduces energy consumption for drying 2.0-2.5 times in comparison with the combine method.
