Summary. In 2014-2015 it was carried out the comparative study of the biochemical composition of fruits of 15 sea-buckthorn cultivars of different ecological and geographical origin, growing under similar soil and climatic condition at variety test plots of M.A. Lisavenko Research Institute of Siberian Horticulture (LRISH). Elizaveta variety surpassed other samples in sugar content and sugar-acid index ((6.4 ± 0.39) % and 5.9 ± 0.72, respectively). Groups of varieties of Katun, Buryat and Jutland ecotypes distinguish by low sugar content (3.9, 3.3 and 2.4%, respectively), the Zhivko variety is characterized by low content of organic acids (1.2%). High level of acidity was found out in Jutland, Buryat, Kirghiz and Danube ecotypes (2.4-3.4%); of vitamin C – in Buryat ((242.5 ± 8.09) mg/100 g), Jutland ((186.1 ± 10.45) mg/100 g), Sayan x Chulyshman ((162.3 ± 9.72) mg/100 g) ecotypes. High content of carotenoids was detected in the following samples: Hybrid 1 ((40.2 ± 2.45) mg/100 g), 42-68-2 ((35.4 ± 2.50) mg/100 g), Chulyshmanka ((27.4 ± 3.17) mg/100 g) and Zhivko ((27.3 ± 0.60) mg/100 g). In the berries from plants of Kirghiz and Danube ecotypes, the carotenoid content was the lowest (4.2 and 6.9 mg/100 g, respectively). On the accumulation of oil in berries, the Dar Katuni variety (Katun ecotype) was distinguished ((6.2 ± 0.31) %). Sugar content tends to increase during ripening from 4.0 ± 0.11 to (5.8 ± 0.11) %; the content of organic acids was minimal at the third date of harvest ((1.7 ± 0.10) %). The content of ascorbic acid at the beginning of ripening ((154.3 ± 7.45) mg/100g) was higher than at the stage of full ripeness ((106.8 ± 9.75) mg/100g). Accumulation of oil was more intensive at the first dates of harvest, decreasing during ripening from 5.0 ± 0.71 to (4.7 ± 0.14) %.
