Summary. The estimation of the Harmony Classic herbicide (0.025-0.05 kg/ha) was carried out in the field plot tests in soybean crops in the Far East Research Institute for Plant Protection in 2007-2009. The herbicide was applied separately and with the addition of the Trend 90 surfactant. Pivot at the rate of 0.8 l/ha was used as a standard. Tests showed high efficiency of the studied preparation with respect to Amaranthus retroflexus, Elsholtzia cristata, Sigesbeckia pubescens. The reduce of the aboveground part weight of these weeds achieved 93-100%. The weight of Ambrosia artemisiifolia and Artemisia species decreased by 68-87%, of Echinochloa crus-galli – by 58-79%. The addition of Trend 90 promoted the strengthening of herbicidal effect on the goal sensitive species and toxic effect concerning Cirsium setosum and Chenopodium album. The most intensive inhibition was observed for Sonchus arvensis. Acalypha australis was absolutely resistant to Harmony Classic among weeds at the test field. Setaria species demonstrated the resistance to the preparation. In comparison with Pivot, Harmony Classic was less effective against Cirsium setosum and grass weeds. It was practically as effective as the standard in the control of Amaranthus retroflexus, Sigesbeckia pubescens and was more effective against Ambrosia artemisiifolia and Artemisia species. The increase in the yield of soybean seeds with the application of Harmony Classic, in comparison with untreated control, was 0.22-0.56 t/ha on average over three years. Under conditions of the Far East the preparation should be used at the rate of 0.05 kg/ha, taking into account the species content of the weeds and in combination with the Trend 90 surfactant in the case of domination of Echinochloa crus-galli and/or in the presence of large amount of plants Sonchus arvensis.
