PRODUCTIVITY OF SCARIOUS OAT VARIETIES AND PECULIARITIES OF ITS FORMATION UNDER CONDITIONS OF THE NORTHERN FOREST STEPPE OF TYUMEN REGION

Summary. The productivity of promising varieties of scarious oat, developed in the zone of the Northern Trans-Urals, is estimated. Studies showed its considerable variation depending on the growing conditions. The influence of the environment (year) was 52.3 %. The share of genetic variation (variety) was 20.3 %, of the interaction between the genotype and the environment – 11.2 %. The sufficient supply with heat during the growing season had a positive effect on the productivity of most varieties, but the intense accumulation of the sum of effective temperatures in the first half of the growing season (May - June) negatively influenced the productivity. High values of the hydrothermal coefficient during the period from May to August did not provide higher yields (r = -0.60); the positive correlation between grain yield of the studied varieties and an average hydrothermal coefficient in May - June was noted (r = 0.77). We observed ambiguous impact of agro-climatic resources (precipitation and temperature) on individual genotypes of scarious oat. The correlation of yield with the value of hydrothermal coefficient ranged from 0.84 in Otrada variety to -0.84 in Peron variety. The main elements of the structure of productivity, ensuring the formation of the grain yield of scarious oat in the zone of the Northern Trans-Urals, were revealed. They are the preservation of plants to harvest (r = 0.83), the number of productive stems (r = 0.44), productivity of one plant (r = 0.56), productive tillering (r = 0.84), and the number of grains per a panicle (r = 0.63).
