Abstract. The aim of the study was to determine the effectiveness of the application of electropuncture and homeopathic drug Ovariovit in the artificial insemination of cows. The investigation was carried out in November 2016 on cows of Black-and-White breed in OOO “Yurginsky” (Yurginsky district, Kemerovo region). We formed three groups of cows (two experimental groups and one control group) in 15 head. Cows were selected after a normal calving, clinically healthy, of the same age (4.93 ± 0.09 years), with the productivity of 3800 kg. Cows were inseminated by the rectocervical method. For animals from the I group we used electropuncture by “Vokal-V”, from the II group – the homeopathic preparation. Prior the test a gynecological examination of all animals was carried out for the exclusion of obstetric pathology. We studied and evaluated the date of the first heat after calving, fertility at the first and subsequent insemination, the duration of service period and the insemination index. The impregnation capacity at the first insemination was 26.7 % in the control, 60 % at the electropuncture, which is 13.3 % higher than at the using of Ovariovit (46.7 %). The duration of the service period in the control was 122.2 ± 2.0 days, in the I experimental group – 114.3 ± 1.76 days, in the II group – 111.3 ± 1.73 days; the index of insemination – 1.93 ± 0.06, 1.53 ± 0.04 and 1.46 ± 0.04, respectively. Changes in the physiological state of animals were not identified; the indicators of the morphological composition of blood and leucograms of cows from experimental and control groups were within the normal range. The number of leukocytes in animals of the experimental group ranged from 8,410 ± 90 to 8,900 ± 100 pcs/mcl in the beginning of the experiment and from 9,010 ± 100 to 9,300 ± 100 pcs/mcl at the end of it. Leukocytic reaction to electropuncture and the introduction of the homeopathic remedies were absent, which indicates its safety.
