Summary. The aim of the research was to study the response of spring soft wheat on the foliar treatment by humic substance Gumostim. Three-year experiment (2010–2012) was carried out at the premises of OOO “Mechta” in Promyshlennovsky district of Kemerovo region on crops of Baganskaya 95 spring wheat variety. Agrotechnics used in the experiments is generally accepted for the crops farming of the steppe zone. The soil of the test plot was leached heavy loamy chernozem. The thickness of the humus horizon ranged from 25 to 30 cm. Humus content was 8.5 %. The reaction of the soil solution was weakly acid, pH 5.4. The content of mobile phosphorus and exchange potassium was 110 and 130 mg/kg of soil, respectively. It was studied the influence of treatments of spring soft wheat onto the change in several elements of yield structure and productivity. Crops were treated in the tillering stage by a solution of Gumostim preparation with different concentrations (0.1, 0.01 and 0.001 %). It was revealed that plant treatment by Gumostim in the lowest concentration affected the formation of the main structural elements of the harvest: it increased ear length (by 26.7 %), the number of ears (by 8.1 %), the number of grains per ear (by 20.2 %) and weight of grains per ear (by 14.3 %). The results of correlation analysis show that formation of the studied element is influenced mainly by the percentage of optimal soil moisture during the germination and tillering of wheat plants. The coefficient of linear correlation (r) is 0.76; 0.77 and 0.86 respectively. Meteorological conditions in the period of grain formation and ripening were the determining factors in an increase in the productivity. On average over three years the highest yield of spring wheat was registered in the variant with concentration 0.001 % of the humic preparation. It was 2.32 t/ha against 1.83 t/ha in the control.

Keywords: wheat, foliar treatment, humic preparation Gumostim, structure of yield, productivity.
