UTILIZATION OF FEED NUTRIENTS BY PUREBRED AND HYBRID YOUNG RAMS FROM DIFFERENT PRECOCE EWES

Abstract. The article presents the results of a balanced experiment on purebred and crossbred young rams, obtained from the selection of Precoce ewes of different types and Precoce sires of a meat-wool type and meat-fat coarse-haired breeds. The investigation was carried out at the premises of Alikhanova’s farm, Tambov region, in 2013-2015. The hybrids from ewes of a meat-wool type (HMW) surpassed the young rams from ewes of a wool-meat type (HWM) with Edelbay sires in digestibility of dry protein by 2.82 %, of organic matter – by 2.62 %, of protein – by 2.00 %, of fat – by 1.90 %. According to the use of nitrogen from food, the hybrids from meat-wool ewes with Edelbay (ED) and Kazakh Fat-tailed (KF) rams exceeded the analogues of wool-meat types by 2.82 and 3.52 %, respectively. Young rams of the variant HMW x KF had a significant advantage of 2.47 % in calcium utilization in comparison with the peers from the cross HWM x KF. In other variants, the significant differences were not determined. According to the utilization of phosphorus from feed, the posterity from ewes of meat-wool types surpassed the young rams from wool-meat ewes by 3.77 % for hybrids with Edelbay breed and by 2.72 % for hybrids with Kazakh Fat-tailed breed. According to the utilization of digested phosphorus, they surpassed purebred lambs from wool-meat ewes by 3.26 %. The selection of ewes taking into account the inbred type to increase the digestibility of feed nutrients in the offspring did not have the significant impact in purebred breeding, whereas it was the most effective for crosses with meat-fat sires. To improve digestibility and utilization of nutrients by crossbred young animals, it is advisable to use the selection of Precoce ewes of meat-wool type to meat-fat sires.
