Abstract. Premixes of various manufacturers are widely used in the production of poultry meat. The aim of our study was to evaluate the growth and development of broiler chickens under usage of Trionis and Agrofid premixes. The experimental part of the study was carried out in OOO “Udmurtskaya Ptitsefabrika”, Glazov district, Udmurt Republic, on broiler chickens of Ross-308 cross in 2015. It was formed two groups of birds in five lots in each. The diet of the first group included Trionis premix of the foreign production, of the second group – the domestic Agrofid premix at the rate of 1 % per 100 g of dry feed. We examined the parameters, characterizing the growth and development of the bird, as well as the main parameters of their meat production. The use of Trionis and Agrofid premixes in the diets of broiler chickens contributed to high meat productivity. The value of the European index of efficiency of broiler growing was 318-323; the live weight of the birds for 35 days of cultivation was at the level of 1997.8-2014.2 g; the daily gain of live weight was 54.5-56.4 g; the preservation was 98.6-99.0 %; the cost of feed per 1 kg of live weight gain was 1.75-1.78 kg. There were not revealed any significant difference between the studied premixes on their influence on broiler performance. Trionis premix had a better effect on the growth and development of chicks during the fifth week in the period of the maximum growth than Agrofid premix. Due to the low cost of Agrofid premix the profitability of broiler meat production in the second group was higher by 1.2 %.
