Abstract. . The investigations were carried out for zootechnic evaluation of mixed fodders, containing various amount of grain of winter rape ‘Severyanin’ with low content of anti-nutritional compounds. The experiment was laid out under conditions of a vivarium of V.R. Williams All-Russian Fodder Research Institute on broiler chickens of the cross ‘Smena-8’ at the age from one day to 40 days. For the experiment we formed five groups. Keeping density, light and temperature regimes corresponded to the common standards. Feeding of broilers was carried out by dry crumbled mixed fodders with food value corresponding to the standards for optimization of the recipes of mixed fodders for poultry. In the control group the mixed feed did not contain rape seeds; the diets of the I, II, III, and IV experimental groups contained rape seeds in the fractions of 4, 6, 8 and 10 %, respectively. The nutrient content did not significantly differ among the groups. The content of nutrients between the groups did not significantly differ. Survival of grown chickens during the whole study period was 100 %. The inclusion of rape seeds in the composition of mixed feed in the share up to 10 % did not influence negatively the digestibility of nutrients. At the end of the experiment the gain of live weight at broilers from the I and II experimental groups surpassed the control. In the III and IV experimental groups the value of this indicator differed from the control by 10-11 g. The expenditures of mixed fodder per 1 kg of gain of live weight with the inclusion of different amounts of winter rape ‘Severyanin’ in chickens’ diets changed as follows: in the I and II experimental groups they were less than in the control; in the III group they were at the level of the control; in the IV group they were above the control. Best results on efficiency and costs were obtained when the mixed feed contained 4 and 6 % of seeds of rape ‘Severyanin’.
Keywords: chicken-broilers, rape seed, anti-nutrients, digestibility of nutrients, nitrogen use, gain of live weight, costs of forages.
