Abstract. The article presents the results of the study of spring barley samples of various ecological and geographical origins. The investigations were carried out in Kemerovo Research Agricultural Institute, the branch of the Siberian Federal Research Center of Agricultural Biotechnology of the RAS in 2011–2015. Objects of the research were 122 samples of spring barley from the collection of N.I. Vavilov All-Russian Research Institute of Plant Growing. The Biom variety was used as the standard. The influence of factors of medium and genotype on the yield of spring barley was determined by еру two-factor dispersion analysis, parameters of ecological plasticity (bi), stability (S2di), environmental conditions index (Ij) – by the Eberhart and Russell method, coefficients of variation (V,%) were calculated. Contrast conditions with a considerable deficit of moisture in the period of formation of generative bodies during the years of investigation were noted. In 2011 Ij = -32.4, in 2014 Ij = +47.5, in 2015 Ij = -15.0. Sources of spring barley of intensive type (with high responsiveness on environment conditions) were determined: Medikum 336 (30962) – bi = 2.02; Ilek 1 (K-30980) – bi = 1.16 with the productivity of 207.9–238.8 g/m2. The sources of spring barley with ecological plasticity above average and high stability are of the greatest value for severe conditions of the Kuznetsk Depression: Deuce (K-30168) – bi = 0.62, S2di = 0.0083; Ladik (K-30734) – bi = 0.74, S2di = 0.49; Ataman (K-30568) – bi = 0.098, S2di = 0.0074; Stein (K-30172) – bi = 0.018, S2di = 0.088; Mikhajlovsky (K-30803) – bi = 0.24, S2di = 0.26; T-12 (Nutans 129) – bi = 0.32, S2di = 0.14.
