Abstract. The article presents the results of evaluations of pedigree cattle, lactating on the modernized dairy farm with the application of the import-substituting technological solutions proposed by Femaks company. The purpose of the research was to assess the effect of genetic factors (linear affiliation, father, blood portion of Holstein breed) on the dairy productivity of cows of Yaroslavskaya breed when using Russian milking equipment. The research was conducted in Yaroslavl region. The object of the study was purebred cows of Yaroslavskaya breed and their crosses with Holstein breed of different degrees of blood portion (n = 2100), lactating in the period from 2008 to 2017. In terms of duration of economic use and lifelong productivity, purebred lines of Yaroslavl cattle were the leaders. Hybrid animals of Holstein lines Vis Back Ideal and Siling Trigun Rokit was excelled in the yield capacity – 115.6% and 127.4%, their genetic superiority in the yield of the first lactation amounted to 122.5% and 117.8%, respectively. The genetic superiority for the duration of economic use was higher in purebred animals of Yaroslavskaya breed and amounted to 131.9% for the line of Volny and 121.5% for the line of Zhilet. By milking for the first and maximum lactation, the individuals with Holstein blood portion more than 50.1% led, for the life-time productivity – animals with a blood content of 50.1–75.0% and 12.6–25.0% and purebred, according to the duration of economic use – purebred Yaroslavl cows. The reliable coefficient of correlation between live weight at the first calving of 411–441 kg and lifetime productivity was r = -0.329, in the range of 450–530 kg – r = +0.287, for the whole sample r was -0.330. When selecting animals according to the first lactation, it should be taken into account that the milking to the level of 4700–5200 kg of milk positively correlates with the duration of economic use and with lifelong productivity. With a further increase in milk production, the use duration decreased by 2.68–6.28% with a rise in lifetime productivity by 1.41–7.08%.
