Abstract. The influence of EnteroZoo preparation on the processes of digestion, metabolism, indices of resistance in the organism of ruminants, digestibility of feed nutrients and growth intensity was studied. The physiological experiment was carried out in 2016 in a vivarium of L. K. Ernst All-Russian Research Institute of Animal Husbandry on two groups of wethers of Romanov breed with rumen fistulas (n = 10). Experimental animals were fed with EnteroZoo in an amount of 25 g per 1 head per day during 30 days. The scientific and economic experiment was carried out in 2016 under conditions of Klenovo-Chegodaevo farm (Moscow region) on 2 groups of milk calves (n = 10). They were fed with EnteroZoo from the 2nd day of life, at the rate of 0.2 g/kg live weight during 30 days. In the rumen of the experimental sheep the following parameters significantly increased: the bacterial mass – 1330 g/100 mL in the experiment and 1061 g/100 mL in the control; the concentration of volatile fatty acids before feeding and in 3 hours after it – 8.61 and 10.47 mmol/100 mL in the test and 7.30 and 9.02 mmol/100 mL in the control, respectively; amylolytic activity of rumen liquid – 17.94 U/mL in the experiment and 12.62 U/mL in the control. In experimental animals, in comparison with the control, there was significantly higher quantity of digested nutrients: dry matter – 864.1 and 744.8 g, protein – 97.3 and 91.4 g, crude fat – 22.2 and 16.2 g, crude fiber – 165.7 and 124.2 g. In calves, the preparation increased the bactericidal (56.57% in the experiment and 54.86% in the control) and phagocytic activity (34.36% in the experiment and 30.97% in the control), the growth rate of the young animals (weight gain during the experiment was 703 g in the experiment and 657 g in the control).
