Abstract. The purpose of the research was to develop a method of obtaining feed preparations using the strains 139, 52 and 48 of the fungus Fusarium sambucinum, producing ubiquinone (coenzyme Q10), and to examine their chemical composition and biological value. The maximum production of ubiquinone for all strains of F. sambucinum was observed on milk serum at a concentration of 50% (MS-50), the amount of ubiquinone on this nutrient medium was 360.0–445.7 ppm of dry matter (DM). When the concentration of milk serum was 25% (MS-25), the value of this indicator was 300–370 ppm; on the Chapek medium with malt liquor and drained grapes hydrolyzate – 60–135 ppm. The lowest content of ubiquinone was obtained on the medium, based on the deproteinized milk serum – 10–120 ppm. On this medium, the fungus accumulated the least amount of biomass and protein (3.0–7.5 g/dm3 and 17–21% of DM, respectively). The strain of F. sambucunum 139 showed the greatest activity in relation to the quantitative indicators of the preparation (mass fraction of biomass, protein, ubiquinone). In the protein of fungal preparations, obtained using F. sambucunum 52 and 139, aspartic (9.94–14.7 g/100 g of protein) and glutamic (12.55–15.37 g/100 g of protein) acids and leucine (9.61–8.32 g/100 g) prevailed. In the preparation with strain F. sambucinum 52, there was also arginine (15.91 g/100 g). The score of essential amino acids met the FAO/WHO recommendations. Mass fraction of protein in the preparations was 30.5–32.0% of DM, of ubiquinone – 462.0–360.0 ppm of DM of biomass.
