Abstract. This research was aimed at developing an integrated system of automated assessment of agricultural land using remote sensing and geoinformation modelling methods. The proposed system consists of the following consecutive stages: aerial photography with an unmanned aerial vehicle and orthophotomap generation of the territory scaled 1: 1000 with a relief section height of 0.5 m; creation of a digital spatial model of land use; adjustment of the existing soil map; agro-ecological land typing and creation of a land type map; technological assessment of working areas in the distinguished land types. The system has been implemented on the example of land use in the CJSC “Mirny” (Kochenevsky District, Novosibirsk Oblast). Here, the following agro-ecological types of land were identified: 1) slightly erosive lands featuring modal chernozemic soil, meadow chernozem and chernozemic meadow soils on uplands and slopes of 1 ... 3o; 2) slightly erosive lands featuring modal chernozemic soil, meadow chernozem and chernozemic meadow soils in combination with meadow solod and gray forest solodised soils on uplands and slopes of 1 ... 2o; 3) wetlands featuring modal meadow, slightly saline and saline soils and their complexes with alkali soils on flat depressions and in the lower parts of the slopes. Land plots of the first type are characterized by a simple configuration (close in shape to a rectangular one), the weighted average value of the technological property index of 1.99 and the normative wheat yield of 2.54 t/ha. Land plots of the second type are characterized by a complex configuration and increased complexity of the soil cover, the weighted average value of the technological property index of 2.45 and the normative wheat yield of 2.45 t/ha. According to the averaged index of technological properties of the working plots, the first type of lands is demonstrated to be more favourable for agricultural use in comparison with the second type, involving lower technological costs.
