Abstract. he paper presents the results of studying the effect of lime and mineral fertilizers on maize yield for silage and nutrient content in grey forest soil. The studies were conducted in 2009–2018 under the conditions of the Irkutsk region in the crop rotation: maize, barley + clover, clover, wheat. In the experiment, the following options were studied: liming (factor A) – without liming, lime doze, calculated for 0.5 Ha (5.7 t/ha); fertilizers (factor B) – without fertilizers, N60P30, P30K60, N60K60, N60P30K60. Mineral fertilizers and lime were applied for maize (Katerina SV hybrid). On average over the years of the research, the use of mineral fertilizers without lime ensured an increase in the yield of green mass of maize, compared to the case without fertilizers, by 2.7–7.0 t/ha (14–37%); the application of lime increased the yield of green mass of maize by 2.4–4.4 t/ha (13–17%); the use of fertilizers with liming increased it by 3.3–9.0 t/ha (15–42%). The maximum yield in the experiment (30.5 t/ha) was obtained in the option of combining liming with N60P30K60. During all the years of the research, the provision of soil with mobile nitrogen and phosphorus was average; the provision with potassium was low. Liming provided a significant increase in the content of nitrate nitrogen and mobile phosphorous in the soil with the absence of a positive influence on the provision with mobile potassium. Due to the nitrogen component in the composition of applied fertilizers, the content of nitrate nitrogen in the soil without the use of lime increased, as compared to the variant without fertilizers, by 3.9–4.5 mg/kg, and against the background of liming – by 4.1–5.9 mg/kg. Under the influence of the phosphorus component the provision of soil with mobile phosphorus increased by 10.3–14.0 mg/kg and 10.2–11.9 mg/kg; under the influence of the potassium component the content of mobile potassium in the soil increased by 14.7–18.3 mg/kg and 12.1–14.8 mg/kg, respectively.

Keywords: corn (Zea mais L.); mineral fertilizers; lime; yield; nitrate nitrogen; phosphorus; potassium.
