Abstract. The studies were conducted in 2012–2015 under conditions of the Pre-Kama region of the Republic of Tatarstan to study the effectiveness of autumn treatment of winter wheat crops of Kazanskaya 560 variety with various preparations and their impact on the yield, disease development and grain quality. The experimental design included such options as treatment with Benorad chemical fungicide (benomyl-based), with Albit biological preparation, with the osmotic solution (polyethylene glycol (PEG) 1000), and without treatment (the control). Each experiment was conducted four times. The crops were treated in the autumn in the tillering phase. The accounting plot area was 20 m2. Meteorological conditions during the years of the research were characterized by periodic autumn and spring droughts. Albit ensured the best viability of plants (87% versus 82% for the control) after overwintering. The effect of PEG 1000 was less pronounced (85%). The use of the studied preparations did not reduce the incidence of powdery mildew and brown rust in the plants, but contributed to a decreased, in comparison with the control, incidence of Septoria blight in the leaves. PEG 1000 was the most effective to control this disease. It reduced the incidence of mycosis 2.5 times, compared with the control. The use of Albit contributed to an increase in wheat productivity, in comparison with the control, by 0.59 t/ha. The effect of Benorad and PEG 1000 was slightly worth. An increase compared with the control amounted to 0.40 t/ha and 0.29 t/ha, respectively. There was no effect of autumn treatment on increasing the total protein and gluten content in the grain. The accumulation of deoxynivalenol mycotoxin in the grain in all the cases was below the maximum permissible values (0.7 mg/kg). The use of Albit provided the greatest effect, compared with the other options for autumn treatment of winter wheat crops.
