Abstract. The purpose of the research was to study the influence of the biological product Biogor on the production process of various soybean varieties. Production experiments were conducted in 2018–2020 on the typical chernozem in the Belgorod region. The experimental design provided for two options – control (without treatment) and treatment with Biogor preparation in the phase of 4–6 trifoliate leaves and at the beginning of budding with a consumption rate of 1.0 L/ha. We assessed the duration of the growing season, plant height, air-dry matter weight, number and weight of active nodules on the roots, yield, quality, and output of protein and oil from 1 ha of crops of eight soybean varieties. Against the background of Biogor, Kofu variety completed the growing season 6 days faster than in the control. The positive effect of the study method on the studied parameters was observed in all soybean varieties. It was the highest for Kofu variety. The height of plants increased by 7.5 cm; the air-dry weight increased by 1.4 g/plant; the area of the assimilating surface raised by 20 cm2/plant; the mass of nodules in the phase of bean formation grew by 0.08 g/plant. The use of the biological product contributed to an increase in the soybean yield for all studied varieties by 2.26–3.45 t/ha, with an average varietal increase of 0.31 t/ha (+10.9% to the control). Kofu variety was the most responsive to the use of the biological product; its yield increased by 0.62 t/ha, or 18%. As a result of the application of the biological product, the same variety showed the highest protein and oil content in seeds (43.5% and 21.2%, respectively), as well as their yield per area unit (1501 kg/ha and 731 kg/ha, respectively).

Keywords: soybean (Glycine max); variety; biological product; plant height; air-dry mass; nitrogen-fixing activity; elements of soybean productivity; yield; quality.
