Abstract. Fodder galega (Galega orientalis Lam.) forms a highly specific symbiotic association with nodule-forming bacteria Rhizobium galegae. The studies aimed to determine the effect of the use of biological preparations based on selective strains of rhizobia in combination with rhizospheric diazotrophic associative bacteria or a culture of vesicular-arbuscular mycorrhiza of fungi on the yield of fodder galega seeds of eastern variety West. The experimental design included the following options: without the biological product use (control), inoculation with strains of nodule bacteria Rhizobium galegae, NB 913 and NB 914, as well as their composition with diazotrophic associative bacteria Arthrobacter mysorens, strain 7 and a culture of the endophytic fungus Glomus intraradices, strain 8. The work was carried out in 2015–2019 in the Moscow region. The method of bacterial preparations application was pre-sowing inoculation of seeds; mycorrhiza was introduced into the soil in rows during sowing. The use of nodule bacteria strains 913 and 914 ensured an increase in seed yield in the first year of using of fodder galega herbage by 28-43%, in the second – 29-35%, in the third – 14-15%, and their efficiency did not differ significantly. The interaction of strains of Rhizobium galegae 913 or 914 and mycorrhiza Glomus intraradices, strain 8, when used together, turned out to be non-additive and did not provide an additional increase in seed yield, compared with the use of rhizobia only. To fulfil the resource potential of eastern galega varieties, it is necessary to select various complementary microorganisms that are most effective under certain edaphoclimatic conditions. The maximum efficiency of interaction between the eastern galega variety West and micropartners during the experiment was achieved by artificial colonisation of seeds with the strain of nodule bacteria 914 combined with a biological preparation mizorin (Arthrobacter mysorens), strain 7 – the increase in seed yield in the first three years of using the herbage was 73,44% and 28%, respectively.
