Abstract. The research aimed to identify varieties of green beans with high seed productivity and green blade yield, resistant to soil and climatic conditions of the Middle Amur region. The object of the study was 5 varieties of green beans from the collection of the Institute of Plant Industry – Major (K-14665, France), Maxidor (K-13063, France), Sonesta (K-15295, Poland), Rovet (K-15209, USA), Empress (K -15208, Hungary), standard – local variety Dachnaya. Seed productivity was studied in the collection nursery in 2017–2020 on plots of 1.4 m2 with density 14 pcs/m2. Accounting for commercial yield was carried out in 2020–2021 on plots of 2.8 m2 with density 9 pcs/m2. The Empress variety with the shortest growing season (101 days) and low weight of 1000 seeds (191.3 g) is advisable to use in the breeding of early-ripe green varieties. In terms of seed productivity, the Major and Sonesta varieties turned out to be the best, forming a large number of beans per plant (18.6 and 17.6 pcs.) and a mass of seeds per plant (15.8 g and 15.3 g, respectively). Their manufacturability is due to the height of plants (40.6 cm in the Major variety and 38.5 cm in the Sonesta variety) and the height of the attachment of the lower bean (15.8 cm and 15.5 cm, respectively). The maximum collection of young green beans in the experiment (826.0 g/m2) was formed by the standard variety Dachnaya. The variety Rovet with the smallest proportion of damaged beans (2.3%) can be used in breeding for resistance to unfavourable conditions of varieties. The correlation between the weight of seeds per plant and the number of beans per plant was close significant (r=0.86 at p≤0.5); in relationship with a weight of 1000 seeds – medium (r=0.58 at p≤0.5). The selected varieties are recommended to be used to create a new genetic material that is adaptive to the conditions of the Middle Amur region.
