The role of Zircon in the regulation of the production process of spring wheat varieties

Abstract. The research aimed to study the role of the Zircon preparation in regulation of the production process of plants of spring wheat varieties. The work was carried out in 2021 in a vegetation experiment in Mitscherlich pots with a capacity of 5 kg of soil. Spring wheat varieties Ester, Mil'turum 63, Zlata, Priokskaya, Amir were grown. In the studies the topsoil of a typical urbanozem, taken from the test plot of the RSAU – MAA named after K.A. Timiryazev, was used. The level of mineral nutrition was created by adding NH4NO3, KH2PO4 and KCl salts at the rate of N – 150, P – 100, K – 100 mg per 1 kg of soil. The treatment of seeds with Zircon was carried out by soaking for 10 hours in a solution of the drug, the concentration of which was 1 ml per 10 l of water. Variants without seed treatment served as a control. The greatest effect from the action of Zircon was observed in wheat varieties Mil'turum 63 and Zlata. The increase in grain productivity was 23% and 20%, respectively, due to an increase in the ear grain content by 16% and 10%, as well as an increase in the mass of 1000 grains by 25% and 27%, respectively. The use of Zircon contributed to the greatest increase in net productivity in these variants by 16%, which indicated an increase in the size of the assimilation surface of plants and an increase in the efficiency of the photosynthetic apparatus. At the same time, Zircon activated not only the processes of formation of rudimentary flowers on the growth tip, but also the processes of grain formation and their fullness, which indicated the stimulation of the attractive ability of the ear.
