Abstract. The studies aimed to determine the effect of the frequency of potato treatments with microbiological preparations on growth parameters, the content of photosynthetic pigments, crop structure, and resistance of tubers to diseases. The work was carried out in the Republic of Bashkortostan. In 2013 and 2020 the experimental design included the study of the following options for preplant treatment of tubers: without treatment (control); Bacillus subtilis 10-4; Bacillus subtilis 26D (reference); Bacillus subtilis 10-4 + salicylic acid (SA). In 2021, we additionally studied the effectiveness of preplant treatment of tubers in combination with treatment of plants in the budding phase: without treatment (control); B. subtilis 10-4; B. subtilis 26D; B. subtilis 10-4 + SA; B. subtilis 26 + SA; SA. On average, over 3 years, pre-planting inoculation of tubers with Bacillus subtilis 10-4 strain and its composition with SA increased the number of tubers in the nest by 12.2 and 21.0%, and the weight by 7.3 and 12.9%, respectively, compared with control. The marketability of tubers in the B. subtilis 10-4+SA variant was 74.5%, which is 8.4% higher than the control. Under conditions of acute drought, pre-planting treatment of tubers with B. subtilis 10-4 + SA reduced the development of dry rot of tubers by 1.7 times compared to control. Inoculation of tubers with endophytic bacteria B. subtilis 10-4 increased the concentration of chlorophylls (a + b) in the budding phase by 27% compared to the control (up to 1.32 mg/g). Double treatment with B. subtilis 10-4 + SA contributed to the growth of tops biomass, an increase in the number of tubers in the bush, and plant productivity by 36% compared to the control. At the same time, the development of Fusarium tubers decreased by 2 times.
