Abstract. The research aimed to assess the effect of various norms of organic fertilizer "molasses residues" on the productivity of sugar beet and soil fertility. The work was carried out in 2020-2021 in the Tambov region by conventional methods. Molasses residues was applied in doses of 8, 16 and 24 t/ha, control – without fertilizers. The soil of the experimental plot was leached heavy loamy chernozem with a salt extract pH of 5.42, a humus content of 5.25%, mobile phosphorus and potassium (according to Chirikov) – 123 and 188 mg/kg, respectively. The use of organic fertilizer "molasses residues" at a dose of 8 t/ha did not affect the agrochemical parameters of the soil, and at doses of 16 and 24 t/ha it led to an increase in acidity by 0.22-0.37 units pH, humus content – by 0.16-0.25%, mobile nitrogen – by 2-7 mg/kg, potassium – by 5-20 mg/kg. The use of organic fertilizer "molasses residues" at a dose of 8 t/ha ensured an increase in the yield of sugar beet roots by 3.1 t/ha (by 5.4%), at a dose of 16 t/ha – by 5.6 t/ha (9 .9%), at a dose of 24 t/ha – by 12.0 t/ha (21.2%), in relation to the control, with a payback of 1 t of fertilizer by additional collection of root crops0.39, 0.35 and 0.50 t, respectively. The sugar content of beet roots in the variant with the introduction of barda at a dose of 8 t/ha increased by 2%, 16 t/ha – by 5%, 24 t/ha – by 7%, in relation to the control, and the additional yield of sugar in per 1 ton of fertilizer was 0.20, 0.24 and 0.26 tons, respectively.

Keywords: sugar beet (Beta vulgaris); molasses residues; organic fertilizer; productivity; soil fertility.
